WHY I STARTED THIS
"Someone reached back and pulled me forward. Each one, teach one is how I pay it forward."
I'm D'Tara "DT" Frank, and I build for a living. I love watching something rise from the ground up, one piece at a time, until it stands strong on its own. People are built the same way.
I come from humble beginnings. A lot of what I know, I learned through trial and error. The rest I learned because people with more knowledge and experience reached back and pulled me forward. It truly took a village to get me here.
That's what our name means. Each one, teach one: when you learn something, you pass it on. Through this foundation, I want to take some of the trial and error out of the journey for the next generation, so they can build their futures faster and stand taller than we did.
For a long time, I've funded this work through my own resources, because I believe in it that much. Now I'm inviting others to join the mission. I can't do this alone, and I don't want to. Become part of our village, and be one of the people who reaches back for the students coming up behind us.
