Montrell Daniel is a native of Monroe, Louisiana, and the youngest son of Rev. Wesley Daniel and Mary Daniel. He currently resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Ashlee Daniel, and their daughter, Cailyn.

Montrell is a 2006 graduate of Carroll High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge. He has over 15 years of experience in the power utility industry. Currently, he serves as Manager of the Substation Standards & Materials Department at CenterPoint Energy (CNP) and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.

 

He is an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the CenterPoint Energy Engineering Professional Network, and the Southern University Alumni Federation.
